Ozzy Osbourne May Perform from a 'Throne' at Black Sabbath Farewell Show

In a recent episode of Riff X's Metal XS, Zakk Wylde, a long-time collaborator with Ozzy Osbourne, shared insights about Black Sabbath's farewell show in 2025. Osbourne, known as a metal icon, is embracing his legendary status.
Wylde, 58, mentioned that due to Parkinson's disease, which Osbourne has lived with since 2003, the singer might perform from a "throne." He envisioned, "With Oz and his throne that just flies over the stadium or whatever, [where he] shoots out buckets of water and does everything like that."

Additionally, Wylde expressed hope that this farewell concert won't mark the end for Osbourne. "If Oz has a great time and it’s just, like, ‘I want to go out on the road again,’" he affirmed.
He recalled a moment when Osbourne was singing "Mama, I’m Coming Home" while seated. "It sounded great," Wylde noted. He hopes this experience will inspire Osbourne to consider touring again.
Wylde excitedly stated, "Everybody’s gonna be playing Sabbath songs, it’s gonna be pretty mind-blowing."

Notably, last month it was revealed that Black Sabbath would reunite for a final gig on July 5. Osbourne, along with guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward, will perform together in Birmingham, where the band was formed in 1968. This concert marks their first performance together in 20 years.
Titled "Back to the Beginning," the show at Villa Park will support Cure Parkinson's (a cause close to Osbourne), along with Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
Osbourne expressed, "It’s my time to go back to the beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born." He added, "How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever."
