Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover Split After 3 Years of Dating: ‘Right Decision for Both of Us'
Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover have decided to end their relationship after three years together, US Weekly reported. DeSorbo, 32, announced their split during the December 30 episode of her podcast "Giggly Squad," co-hosted with Hannah Berner.
"We have decided to no longer be together," said DeSorbo. "I love him, and I think he loves me. We plan to remain friends. No one did anything wrong; it was not a bad situation. We both grew and conveyed our feelings, which is powerful. It’s essential to communicate wants for the future."
DeSorbo expressed that her 30s have been transformative and has brought significant personal changes. However, she stated she still holds "so much love and respect" for Conover, 35. "He is one of the best people I’ve encountered. I will always be his biggest supporter and wish him the best because he deserves it," she added. "Ultimately, it feels like the right decision for us."
The announcement follows Conover's earlier denial of breakup rumors during an interview with E! News. "I don’t know where this rumor originated," the Southern Charm star stated. "We’re together every week, so no, Paige and I are not broken up."
DeSorbo and Conover began dating while filming the first season of Winter House in 2021, confirming their relationship that September at the wedding of friends Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula. They maintained a long-distance relationship due to DeSorbo residing in New York City while Conover lived in Charleston, South Carolina.
In a chat with Us Weekly, Conover detailed how they managed the long-distance aspect of their relationship. "We focus on not allowing uncertainties to disrupt our happiness now," he mentioned. "Some may find that difficult, but it can be done. While it can be tough to not have a plan, we’re lucky due to travel and technology." He emphasized their fortunate situation of splitting time between Charleston and New York.
However, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Conover praised DeSorbo and highlighted the couple's day-to-day approach. "I’m delighted with where we are right now," he said in early December. "We focus on the present instead of the future."
