Paris Hilton Donates $100,000 to Families Affected by Los Angeles Wildfires
Paris Hilton is taking significant steps to aid those impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, which destroyed her Malibu home. After seeing her house burn down on live TV, the reality star and businesswoman announced that she is launching an emergency fund to assist affected families. On January 10, prompting through her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, Hilton committed an initial $100,000 donation, pledging to match additional contributions up to the same amount. The emergency fund, in collaboration with organizations like CORE and Baby2Baby, aims to provide temporary housing, essential supplies, and support to evacuation centers, as well as local animal shelters. Hilton expressed deep empathy for those who have lost much more, emphasizing the lasting emotional impact and instability faced by countless families. In the fires, over 12,300 structures have been destroyed, affecting 180,000 residents across Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Notably, many celebrities have also lost their homes in these tragic events.
Highlighting the collaborative nature of the initiative, Hilton showed gratitude to partners like Amy Marks Dornbusch and emphasized the urgency of the situation. The combined efforts have already launched fundraising to start with $200,000. Hilton concluded her message by stressing that every donation counts in ensuring that support reaches those most in need, inviting everyone to rally together to help LA recover.
