Paris Hilton Volunteers at Shelter for Animals Affected by L.A. Fires and Boosts Search for Missing Cat Owner
Amid the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles, Paris Hilton is making a substantial difference in her community. On January 7, the Palisades and Eaton Fires caused significant damage. The following day, she witnessed her Malibu home burning live on television. By January 10, she posted visuals showing the devastation on Instagram.
By January 13, Hilton took action, heading to Pasadena to help those affected by the fires. She updated her followers on X about her involvement with the Pasadena Humane Society, focusing on the rescue of animal victims. One cat found in Altadena, a heavily impacted area, has been in a shelter for four days without identification. Hilton urged her followers to share information to help reunite this cat with its owner. The animal’s ID is A519218.
Fundraising and Volunteer Efforts
Through her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, Hilton stated they are supporting the shelter's initiatives while continuing to raise funds for displaced families and their pets. She emphasized that all donations can aid in providing emergency relief, housing, and vital supplies. Offering assistance, she noted, "The Pasadena Humane Society is an incredible charity to support!"
Showcasing her dedication, Hilton shared on Instagram images from her volunteer work at Baby2Baby and the Pasadena Humane Society. She highlighted the importance of fostering animals by mentioning she is fostering Zuzu, a dog surrendered after its owner's home burned. Hilton urged others to help by providing homes to animals in need.
Emergency Fund Initiatives
On January 10, Hilton announced plans to establish an emergency fund through 11:11 Media Impact. This fund will assist displaced families with children. Hilton began with a personal donation of $100,000 and promised to match further contributions up to the same amount. By January 13, she reported the fund had raised over $600,000 in just three days, with a target of $1 million for housing and essential aid.
Partnering with the emergency relief organization CORE, Hilton’s efforts will provide immediate housing, evacuating supplies, and essential goods for affected families and animals. Since the outbreak of the fires, the toll has been heavy, with 24 confirmed deaths and many missing, alongside over 180,000 evacuations.
Rescue Operations Continue
