Pedro Pascal Speaks on His Viral Coffee Order: ‘Violating’

Pedro Pascal recently shared his thoughts on his viral coffee order.

The actor, best known for "The Last of Us" and "The Mandalorian," went viral in March 2023. A social media video captured his encounter with a fan outside Starbucks, revealing his distinctive morning drink. Pascal’s venti cup bore a label detailing his order of an iced quad espresso, now containing six shots of espresso and extra ice. Each shot carries about 63-64 milligrams of caffeine.
During his first appearance in a decade on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 24, Kimmel referenced the viral order. He humorously characterized it as "insane" while showcasing a magnified image of Pascal's coffee cup. Laughing sheepishly, Pascal exclaimed, "I cannot begin to tell you how violating this was!"

He further elaborated on the rationale for his morning caffeine intake. "There’s so much context to why it has become six shots of espresso," he stated. He explained that while it initially began as a quad espresso, changes in cup sizes and shot strength led to his current order of six.
Pascal shared, "It was an incredibly private morning ritual that I never wanted anyone to know about." He noted that he does not consume more coffee throughout the day. Kimmel humorously remarked, "This isn’t even coffee — this is a methaccino at this point!"
Pascal added, "You sip it and you get really high, and you answer emails and stuff," giving insight into his morning routine.
When his unusual order gained attention, reactions ranged from astonishment to concern. With six espresso shots, his drink equated to approximately 380 milligrams of caffeine. This amount is just shy of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's recommendation of 400 milligrams per day for adults. Headlines reflected the concern, as Elle declared, "Pedro Pascal’s Starbucks Order Is Stressing Us Out," while TikTok users humorously questioned his well-being, asking, "IS HE OKAY????" and, "Someone check his vitals."
Earlier, SSP reported that Margo Price embraced sobriety.
