Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso Introduce Meaningful 'Friend' Art Exhibit at NYC Gallery
A compelling art exhibition, "Friend," highlighting works from Minimalism and Op Art pioneers along with contemporary artists, is about to be unveiled by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso's charity, Sentebale, in collaboration with the Ki Smith Gallery in New York City. The exhibit, open to the public from December 14, will last until January 19 and offers attendees the option to donate to Sentebale, supporting at-risk youth in Lesotho and Botswana, PEOPLE reported.
In an exclusive statement, Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso expressed enthusiasm over the partnership with Ki Smith. They emphasized the exhibition’s aim to make art widely accessible while reflecting Sentebale's mission of inclusion, resilience, and community-building. Furthermore, all gallery profits will contribute to Sentebale's initiatives, further bridging art and impactful social change.
Established in 2006 by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso in memory of their late mothers, Sentebale assists young people in Southern Africa, particularly in education, healthcare, and vocational training, promoting sustainable futures.
Highlighting renowned artists, the exhibition also bears a personal touch. The display title "Friend" pays homage to Kuwayama, Ki Smith's grandfather. This exhibition at the Ki Smith Gallery celebrates the longstanding relationship between Sentebale and new avenues for supportive collaboration and philanthropy. By integrating high art with charitable efforts, the showcased exhibit underscores the transformative power of unity in addressing global challenges for future generations.
