Rachael Kirkconnell Clarifies Status with Ex Matt James

Rachael Kirkconnell is sharing her feelings about ex-boyfriend Matt James one month after their breakup. She responded to speculation after "liking" one of James’ Instagram posts from his recent trip to Kenya. Social media influencer Zachary Reality noted this in a TikTok video. He commented that this action indicates that they are on friendlier terms now.
Kirkconnell chimed in on the video. She asserted that her feelings for James, who is 33, remain unchanged since their split. "Never hated him and never will," she stated. She added, "I will always be rooting for him and wish him the best. At the end of the day, a like is just a like. We’re all good over here 💛."
Zachary Reality highlighted her comment on his Instagram Story, expressing her clarification regarding the "like." He stated, "Queen Rachael Kirkconnell with a message in my TikTok comment section after speculation over her liking Instagram reel 🙏🌹💛."
Kirkconnell further addressed questions about her and James’ breakup. She interacted with fans in the comments, emphasizing her desire for self-improvement. In response to a comment expressing concern for her well-being, she affirmed, "I do, Alexis! We’re good over here."
She also denied another suggestion implying that her action was aimed at winning back his favor after they discussed their breakup on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Additionally, she clarified that she had not unfollowed James on social media.
One TikTok user speculated that she might be telling fans to ease their criticism toward him. Kirkconnell agreed, responding, "Yes, Dana," along with a yellow heart emoji.

James has not publicly addressed their breakup since his initial announcement, which he later deleted. He posted, "Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts." He showed gratitude and persisted in his hopes for comfort during this time.
During the January 28 episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Kirkconnell discussed the argument that led to their breakup on their trip to Tokyo. She mentioned that James did not notify her before his Instagram breakup post went live. "I would love to know his reasoning," she expressed. Kirkconnell indicated that she was upset and felt he disrespected her. "He didn’t even text me to give me a warning," she lamented.
After their split, James traveled to Kenya and shared moments from his trip with the caption, "How you spend 24 hours in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪." This post received a "like" from Kirkconnell, further provoking interest in their current relationship status.
