Randy Moss participated virtually in the 2025 NFL Honors, sharing his ongoing battle with cancer. In livestreamed remarks, Moss, 47, expressed gratitude for those supporting him during this health crisis, US Weekly reported.
"Good evening everybody. How y’all doing? It is great to talk to you tonight," Moss said. "I’m sorry I could not be there in person, but I want to thank my doctors, my wife, my children, my family, my teammates, and all the prayer warriors. We are Mossing cancer, and I cannot wait to return to television with all my guys."
During the event held in New Orleans on February 6, Moss presented Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
"I am thrilled to present an award that I was honored to win back in 2007 with the New England Patriots," Moss remarked. "There’s no better story in the NFL than one about a player overcoming adversity and ultimately finding their way back to the mountaintop."
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson introduced Moss before his segment. Reflecting on the legacy of Vikings wide receivers, Jefferson stated, "Playing wide receiver in the NFL is a dream job, but in Minnesota it means a little more."

Jefferson noted, "No name is bigger, no icon more legendary than Randy Moss. I don’t need to tell you how amazing Randy is on the field; the highlights and record books prove that. I also don’t need to remind you of the fight he’s in now against cancer."
Moss shared news of his cancer battle in December 2024, revealing a diagnosis of liver cancer. He went on to explain that doctors discovered cancer in his bile duct, situated between the liver and pancreas.
"Ya boy is a cancer survivor," Moss stated in an Instagram Live video. He described his successful six-hour surgery to remove the cancerous mass.
In the face of adversity, Randy Moss remains hopeful as he continues his recovery journey while garnering support from fans and fellow athletes.
