He was also known for his love of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. His family referenced this cherished book in their heartfelt tribute.

On the day of his passing, Baena was discovered at a Los Angeles residence. The local medical examiner ruled it a suicide, as noted in records reviewed by E! News. Following his death, Plaza, who has now deactivated her Instagram, released a joint statement alongside Baena’s parents and stepparents regarding their shared grief.
"This is an unimaginable tragedy," they stated in the January 6 message to E! News. "We are immensely grateful for all the support offered. Please respect our privacy during this time."
