Renée Zellweger Shares Insight Into Her Relationship with Ant Anstead

Renée Zellweger provided unique insights into her relationship with boyfriend Ant Anstead during an interview with Hugh Grant, her co-star from Bridget Jones’s Diary. Anstead, formerly married to HGTV star Christina Haack, has been an influential part of her life.

The two-time Oscar winner revealed that she has moved her roots away from Hollywood to be closer to Ant and his family.

"I live in Southern California, near San Diego," Zellweger stated in her January 15 interview with British Vogue. "Because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy."

Ant, 45, and Renée, 55, met while filming his Discovery+ series Celebrity IOU: Joyride in 2021, and their romance developed shortly after. At this time, he had recently gone through a divorce from Haack, with whom he shares a 5-year-old son named Hudson. Ant is also a father to daughter Amelie, 21, and son Archie, 18, from a previous marriage.

Ant spoke to E! News about his mindset following his divorce. "There’s a choice that we all make. You either dwell in it or you look forward, and I’m a forward-facing positive person," he shared. "I’ve got so many great things on the horizon."

Their relationship grew stronger as Ant reflected on the unexpected outcomes of their collaboration. "I'm really grateful to the show," he noted to People in September 2021. "Amazing things happen in your world when you least expect them, and that’s what happened here."

Although they have kept their romance under wraps, Ant and Renée have actively supported each other's careers. Recently, he praised her performance in her upcoming romantic comedy, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.

"Oh man...she's so beautiful!" he posted on Instagram, accompanied by a promotional poster for the film. "That's my Ren (lucky boy)."
