Robert Pattinson Praises The Drama Co-Star Zendaya for Helping Him Understand Tricky Scene

Robert Pattinson recently shared how his co-star, Zendaya, helped him make sense of a perplexing scene from their upcoming film, "The Drama." In an interview with French magazine Premiere, Pattinson, 38, recounted his struggle with understanding the scene opposite Zendaya, 28, which had been driving him "crazy for three days." As part of his usual filmmaking process, he admitted to obsessively writing pages of textual analysis in his attempt to uncover hidden meanings. This is prepared by SSP.
Finally deciding to seek clarity, Pattinson reached out to Zendaya the night before shooting. During their two-hour phone conversation, he expressed his doubts and frustrations over the scene. Listening patiently, the "Euphoria" star eventually explained that the line he was fixated on was quite literal and straightforward.
Pattinson humorously acknowledged that he often "tries to solve mysteries that aren't really mysteries," a tendency to overthink that emerges throughout his career, be it in 2014’s "The Rover" or 2019’s "The King." Reflecting on the roles he's played, such as those in "Twilight," he noted a theme of characters with a "victim side," and hinted that he might soon take on a role highlighting "self-confidence" to counteract this trend.
"The Drama," a coming romance comedy-drama from the creator of Dream Scenario, Kristoffer Borgli, also features Mamoudou Athie and Alana Haim and is yet to be released. The film depicts a couple navigating unexpected relationship twists before their wedding, with acclaimed filmmaker Ari Aster contributing as one of its producers. Away from this project, Pattinson garners attention for his feature role in Bong Joon Ho's "Mickey 17" and has numerous other projects, like "Die, My Love" with Jennifer Lawrence and Christopher Nolan’s "The Odyssey," lined up where he will act alongside Zendaya, Tom Holland, and others.
