Sabrina Carpenter Shines at SNL's 50th Anniversary Afterparty

Sabrina Carpenter delivered an unforgettable performance at SNL's 50th Anniversary Afterparty on February 16. The event took place at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The talented 25-year-old "Espresso" singer showcased classic hits from various genres, captivating the star-studded audience, PEOPLE reported.
Carpenter started her act by changing into a white mini-dress adorned with a fur shrug. She joined a live band and passionately performed "Miss You" by The Rolling Stones. A TikTok video captured the moment beautifully as comedian Dave Chappelle relaxed beside her, enjoying a smoke while she sang.
Amid the lively atmosphere, Carpenter’s spirits were contagious as she smiled and danced, radiating joy on the stage. In addition to "Miss You," fans shared clips on X where she impressed everyone with a heartfelt rendition of Madonna's "Like A Virgin."
The stage became even more vibrant during her performance of "At Last," originally by Etta James. Carpenter invited notable actresses Jenna Ortega, Emma Stone, and Kristen Wiig to join her. "We’re gonna do the last part first. I need my beautiful, incredible women on stage," she encouraged, setting the lively tone.

As Carpenter immersed herself in the song’s emotions, she dropped to her knees, drawing the audience into the moment. The blend of her stirring vocals and the actresses swaying behind her added depth to the performance, particularly highlighted by the poignant line, "Life is like a song."
Before the afterparty, Carpenter shared the stage with music legend Paul Simon, 83. They opened the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary special with an acoustic performance of "Homeward Bound," a classic from Simon & Garfunkel. While Simon has a long history with SNL, Carpenter made her debut in May 2024.

During their interaction, Carpenter humorously recalled that neither she nor her parents were born when Simon performed "Homeward Bound" with George Harrison in 1976. Simon responded charmingly, "Well, I'm glad they'll get the chance to hear it tonight," to which she eagerly agreed before they shared a beautiful rendition of the timeless song.
