Sara Paxton Discusses Thanksgiving Plans Apart from Zach Cregger
Actress Sara Paxton shared her Thanksgiving plans while attending the Los Angeles Mission Thanksgiving event on November 27. The 36-year-old revealed that she will not celebrate the holiday with her husband, filmmaker Zach Cregger, this year, PEOPLE reported.
Paxton stated that Cregger must remain on the East Coast for work commitments. "His family’s on the East Coast and he has to stay for work, so he will stay," Paxton explained. While it is disappointing for her, she remains positive about celebrating together during the December holidays. "I think we’re just going to have a New York Christmas."
Currently, Cregger is focusing on a new project in New York, which follows his success with the horror film "Barbarian" in 2022. Paxton mentioned she has been visiting him frequently. The couple, married since October 2019, initially met while filming the romantic comedy "Love & Air Sex" in 2013.
Despite Cregger's absence, Paxton looks forward to spending the day with her family. "I do the same thing every year," she noted about her holiday customs. "My dad cooks, and I’m going to help a little bit. I make a vegetable, and, yeah, I’m going to see my family."
Paxton acknowledged that the pandemic has led to challenges in establishing their own family traditions. They married just months before the global crisis began and have been "sidelined" in this respect. However, they plan to start their own customs next year.
Paxton also participated in the mission’s initiative, which provides meals and services to those in need. The event, stationed at Skid Row, serves over 4,000 meals annually. Additionally, volunteers offer clothing, haircuts, and various personal care services.
"I just think it’s so important to support our community," Paxton emphasized. "Everyone deserves a hot meal during the holidays on Thanksgiving. I’m really happy to be here."
