Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Give a Glimpse Into Future Wedding: What Jewish Tradition They Plan to Incorporate

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have revealed one wedding tradition they will surely include in their special day: the hora, a celebrated Jewish dance. Despite Gomez being Christian and marrying her Jewish fiancé, the tradition will remain an important part of their future wedding plans. They discussed these details in a thoughtful conversation with Interview Magazine. This is prepared by SSP.
Blanco confirmed their intention to include the hora in their wedding, stating, "Of course we will." This traditional dance involves guests forming a circle and hoisting the seated bride and groom into the air during the celebration. While Gomez, 32, is excited to participate in this cultural element, she has no plans to convert to Judaism. When asked about such a change, she remarked, "I don’t think I’ll be doing that. Not that it’s bad."
The couple, engaged since December 2024 and together since June 2023, emphasize the importance of blending their religious backgrounds, particularly for their future children. They aspire for their offspring to inherit both Christian and Jewish values. Blanco noted, "We want our kids to have both of our values, both of our morals," a sentiment Gomez echoed, expressing their hope that it will have positive outcomes.
Although focused on staying present and joyful during this period, Gomez and Blanco admit they have not yet solidified additional wedding details, with Gomez observing that they haven't figured out aspects like destination weddings. Notably, neither Selena nor Benny plans to be a bridezilla, and for now, they are cherishing each moment leading up to the occasion.
Earlier, SSP reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William shared romantic PDA moment for Valentine's Day.
