Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Share Wedding Plans Pause

Selena Gomez, alongside fiancé Benny Blanco, is not yet diving into wedding planning. The couple appeared on the Today show on March 21, sharing insights about their newly released joint album, "I Said I Love You First," and discussing their wedding timeline.

When asked by anchor Craig Melvin whether they would shift focus to wedding planning now that the album is complete, Gomez replied, "No." The couple is not rushing into arrangements; rather, their busy careers take precedence.

Gomez, 32, stated that she is currently filming season 5 of "Only Murders in the Building," and Blanco, 37, is also busy with work. She added, "I’m just enjoying us in this moment, and yeah, then we’ll get to start the craziness."

Blanco echoed Gomez's sentiments. He remarked, "Oh my God, we haven’t even had time to enjoy it." Their schedules are hectic, with album promotions and Gomez attending events like the Oscars. They are unsure about a wedding date and do not anticipate planning soon. When queried about tying the knot this year, Gomez noted, "I don’t even know if we have time."

Despite their busy lives, they do have some ideas for their wedding. Gomez wishes for a casual atmosphere on their big day. Blanco, on the other hand, mentioned a wedding must-have: "Pickles, I think." When Gomez asked if he meant pickle slushies, Blanco reminisced about Gomez once suggesting, "I want to have little sandwiches with pickles for my friends." Gomez then laughed off the idea, calling it "so weird." Blanco humorously added, "She really is the cheapest date in the book. Everything is real easy."

Prior to their romantic relationship, Gomez and Blanco collaborated on their first song, "I Can't Get Enough," in March 2019. The couple began dating in June 2023, and Gomez shared their engagement news on December 11, 2024, with a stunning photo of her marquise diamond ring. Their first album, "I Said I Love You First," was released on March 21.
