Just a week after the engagement news, the 32-year-old shared striking images of her marquise-shaped diamond ring. This ring features an elegant diamond eternity band and was prominently displayed in Gomez's first Instagram Story posted on Thursday, December 19.
In the mirror selfie, Gomez also showcased her nude round-shaped manicure, identical to the style she wore during her engagement. The Rare Beauty founder's smile radiated happiness as she donned a black top under a maroon trench coat. Her hair was styled in a chic side part. The Emilia Pérez actress completed her look with large dangly earrings, lavender eyeshadow, and a soft pink lip.
Gomez followed up with a dynamic outdoor video where she gleefully exclaimed "eeee!" while holding her left hand toward the sunlight. The sunlight brought an extra sparkle to her ring in the video.
In her video, Gomez expressed, "Sorry last post... I've just dreamed of this moment my whole life." Earlier, Blanco, 36, echoed such sentiments. He shared Gomez's December 11 Instagram post where she announced their engagement via his own Instagram Stories, writing, "still can’t believe it."
Additionally, he reshared a video from Saturday, December 14. In the footage, they clink champagne glasses during a picnic. This event featured Gomez's favorite meal from Taco Bell.
A source later informed PEOPLE about the engagement, saying, "it was very her" and that "it was a total surprise to Selena." They noted that, post-proposal, the couple hosted an impromptu gathering with close friends and family.
"There’s so much excitement in sharing the news with their loved ones. It's truly a partnership for them," the source added. Gomez and Blanco made their romance public in December 2023. Their friendship began years earlier, culminating in a notable collaboration on the 2019 single "I Can't Get Enough" with Tainy and J Balvin.
