Simone Biles Shares New Year's Eve Plans with Jonathan Owens
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are excited to celebrate the new year together. The Olympic gold medalist, aged 27, shared with PEOPLE that their plans revolve around his busy NFL schedule.
Biles mentioned that they will likely stay home during the countdown. "We’ll probably be in bed before the ball drops," she explained during a chat about her Athleta gift guide. However, Owens has a sweet surprise planned: "Don’t worry, I’ll set an alarm for 12 so I could kiss you," he told her.
As they prepare for the holiday, Biles plans to wear cozy Athleta apparel. She stated that she typically doesn't make New Year's resolutions, preferring instead to focus on being the best version of herself.
This Christmas will be unique, as the couple spends it alone for the first time. Currently, they are in Chicago, where Owens plays for the Chicago Bears. Biles expressed her mixed feelings about missing time with family: "I look forward to getting some quality time with my husband."
While Owens has a home game on December 26, Biles embraces the opportunity for intimacy with her spouse. She looks forward to strengthening their bond.
Looking ahead, Biles has dreams of traveling with Owens in the upcoming months. "We want to go on a couple of vacations, we're planning those out right now," she shared.
In addition to their travels, Biles aspires to give back to the community that supported her during her journey. Meanwhile, regarding a future Olympic return in 2028, Biles remains undecided. "We’re barely done with this year," she noted, indicating that thoughts about the Olympics are far off.
