Skai Jackson Welcomes First Baby
Skai Jackson is now officially a mother. The former Disney Channel star has welcomed her first child with her boyfriend, whom she has not publicly identified.
On January 26, Skai shared a touching photo of their newborn on Instagram. The infant was dressed in charming green plaid pajamas and matching green socks. The caption appeared to reveal the baby’s name: "Kasai."
The exciting news comes just two months after Skai confirmed her pregnancy. During a reflection on this new journey, she shared her anticipation to embrace motherhood and pursue new acting projects.
"I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting endeavors," the 22-year-old shared with People in a November 2024 interview. "My heart is so full!"
Since revealing her pregnancy, Skai has proudly displayed her baby bump. She attended the premiere of her film *Man in the White Van* in December, where she looked radiant in a skintight brown dress. Her friends flooded her social media with love, and Keke Palmer commented, "My sisterrrr."
While Skai has kept her relationship fairly private, she recognizes the significant influence of her mother, Kiya Cole. Kiya raised the *Bunk’d* star as a single parent, acting as a strong role model throughout her life.
Skai has always exuded unwavering confidence since her early acting days. "I always just knew I wanted to be an actress," she told ET Style in October 2019. Watching various TV shows and movies fueled her aspirations.
Her journey began with commercials before she found her onscreen family in the 2011 Disney Channel sitcom *Jessie*. She worked alongside creators like Debby Ryan, Peyton List, Karan Brar, and the late Cameron Boyce.
Even a decade after the show ended, Skai maintains loving connections with her former co-stars.
"I feel like we’re all living different types of lives," Skai mentioned in an interview with E! News in April. "Many of us don't live in the same state, so it’s hard to see each other. They’re all achieving amazing things, and I'm really proud of them. We definitely keep in touch."
Reflecting on her childhood in the industry, Skai expresses gratitude for her mother’s guidance.
"I learned a lot at a young age," she stated. "Opportunities arose that most kids might not experience. My mom has always ensured I remain humble. My friends contribute to that humility as well. A strong support system truly makes all the difference."
