SNL's Chloe Fineman Shares Harry Styles' Disappointing Reaction to Her Impersonation

Mastering the perfect English accent is challenging. Although Chloe Fineman, the talented impressionist from Saturday Night Live, excels in many, she struggles with one prominent British voice: Harry Styles.
During the SNL 50th anniversary special at 30 Rock on Sunday, February 16, Fineman spoke openly about her attempt at imitating Styles. "My Harry Styles is really bad," she admitted to Amelia Dimoldenberg, who is also British. She recalled that Styles observed her impersonation and felt "devastated" by the result. Fineman humorously demonstrated her impersonation, saying, "Anyway, I’m Harry Styles, anyway," while confessing her fascination with British accents.

Styles' accent poses challenges for many, including Fineman. The singer, now 31, has lived in various locations throughout his life. He was born in the Midlands and later moved near Manchester for school. He relocated to London at 16 when he joined One Direction. Since ascending to fame, Styles has also spent significant time in the U.S. His influence and experiences across different regions likely impact his accent.
Fineman shines when impersonating American celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Coolidge, and Reese Witherspoon. She gained fame for her hilarious portrayal of Nicole Kidman, showcasing an impressive mimicry of Kidman's distinct Australian accent.

While Fineman hasn’t brought Styles to the screen on SNL, she once displayed her British accents on The Tonight Show Starring Fallon. In a twist, she portrayed Phoebe Waller-Bridge from "Fleabag," while ironically, Fallon played Harry Styles. It's amusing to wonder if Styles had a similar reaction to that performance.
The SNL 50th anniversary event featured a dazzling array of stars. Among the notable attendees were Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, showing solidarity amid drama around "It Ends With Us." Kim Kardashian and her ex Pete Davidson were even present together, creating a notable atmosphere.
Sabrina Carpenter, Miley Cyrus, Sandra Oh, Jenna Ortega, and Zooey Deschanel captivated everyone on the red carpet too. Numerous SNL alumni made memorable appearances, enhancing the celebration.
