Stephen Graham Left in Tears After Bruce Springsteen Sends Him a Moving Text Regarding Deliver Me from Nowhere

Stephen Graham was left deeply moved after receiving an unexpected and touching message from Bruce Springsteen, commending his portrayal of Springsteen's late father, Douglas "Dutch" Springsteen, in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere. The English actor, appearing on the Soundtracking podcast with Edith Bowman, recounted that Springsteen texted him after Graham wrapped filming. Describing it as one of "the most gorgeous texts" he has ever received, Graham shared how he was rushing to the airport when he saw the message that said, "Better than any award that I could ever receive in my life." This is prepared by SSP.
Graham expressed his admiration for Springsteen, recognizing him as an icon and a hero to many, and noted that the singer's message left him in tears. "You know, my father passed away a while ago and I felt like I saw him today," Springsteen had continued, thanking Graham for recreating the cherished memory.
Their mutual appreciation also led to dialogues about Springsteen’s 2016 memoir Born to Run, which elaborates on the musician's tumultuous relationship with his father. Furthermore, Springsteen expressed enthusiasm about the biopic's cast, praising actors like Jeremy Allen White and Jeremy Strong. The film, which revisits Springsteen's journey during the creation of his iconic album Nebraska, is anticipated to release in 2025.
In addition to his work in "Deliver Me from Nowhere," Graham has also received acclaim for his role in the Netflix drama Adolescence, portraying a distressed father in a story about a teenager facing serious accusations.
