Taylor Swift Heartbroken Over LA Wildfires, Lists Organizations for Donations
Taylor Swift has publicly expressed her emotional response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, urging her fans to contribute to relief efforts. On January 16, Swift used her Instagram Stories to highlight several key organizations involved in aiding those affected by the extensive fires that have ravaged California since early January. Her message emphasized the substantial suffering and destruction caused by the wildfires, underscoring the efforts of various groups uniting to support community rebuilding. This is prepared by SSP.
Among the organizations Swift donated to are Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, among others like 211 LA, the California Community Foundation Relief, Direct Relief, and MusiCares. She encouraged her followers to assist these groups if possible, echoing her commitment to charitable efforts, which have included a $5 million donation for Hurricane Helene and Milton relief and another $1 million to aid Tennessee tornado victims in December 2023 during her Eras Tour.
While the destruction continues to displace thousands, leading to confirmed fatalities, Swift has not been listed as a performer at the FireAid Benefit Concert organized to raise further aid for wildfire victims. The concert, scheduled for January 30, will feature acts like Green Day, Billie Eilish, Lil Baby, and others, with proceeds aimed at helping displaced families and enhancing fire prevention and response capabilities in Los Angeles.
