Taylor Swift’s Dad Teases Her as Eagles and Chiefs Gear Up for Super Bowl Clash
It’s a showdown at the 2025 Super Bowl between Taylor Swift and her dad, Scott. The pop star's father just launched a humorous dig!
As the Kansas City Chiefs secured a victory over the Buffalo Bills on January 26, they qualified for Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles. Scott's loyalty to the Eagles became apparent. He definitely isn't supporting his daughter's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, or the Chiefs.
During the game, the dedicated Eagles fan was seen playfully trolling Taylor. He attempted to give her a high-five after the Chiefs scored a touchdown, retracting his hand at the last moment. This move seemed to delight Taylor, who couldn't help but laugh.
Video shared on social media captures the event. The Swifts and Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, were present in a VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri. As the Chiefs built their lead, they moved closer to playing against Scott’s beloved Eagles in the Super Bowl.
The game concluded with a Chiefs win, scoring 32-29. They will face the Eagles on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Chiefs hope to achieve their third straight Super Bowl win, following victories over the Eagles in 2023 and against the San Francisco 49ers in 2024.
Scott, 72, known as an Eagles fan, has been seen attending several Chiefs games. This attendance began after Taylor, 35, started dating Travis in 2023.
Travis previously joked about changing Scott's allegiance during a November 2023 episode of his podcast, "New Heights." He humorously claimed he was convincing the Swifts "one by one" after seeing Scott wear Chiefs gear.
"Got him over to the good side, baby," Travis joked. His brother, Jason Kelce, a former Eagles center, wasn’t thrilled. "What are we doing?" he remarked. He challenged Scott, asking if the cordial relationship was worth abandoning a lifetime of fandom.
"Ridiculous," Jason added. Travis laughed, suggesting humorous persuasion might have happened at dinner when they first met.
After the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Taylor and Travis shared a touching moment. They embraced and shared a kiss, celebrating the Chiefs’ entry into the Super Bowl.
