Teddi Mellencamp Living with Kyle Richards Amid Edwin Arroyave Divorce
Teddi Mellencamp, recently separated from Edwin Arroyave, is seeking support from her friend Kyle Richards. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 43, shared on the premiere of her podcast, "Diamonds in the Rough," that she temporarily resides in Richards’ Beverly Hills home. This living arrangement allows them to manage co-parenting while navigating the split, US Weekly reported.
Mellencamp stated, "They know that we are separated, filed for divorce. I’m nesting." She explained the concept of "nesting," where children remain in the family home while parents alternate staying there. "In California, there’s a six-month cooling-off period during which we can handle our separation," she added. Mellencamp learned about this approach from a divorce coach friend.
Mellencamp shared insights on custody arrangements for her three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, plus son Cruz, 10. "Both Edwin and I leave when the other one sleeps. We can still be present for sporting events." This friendly separation supports their parenting plan, allowing regular interaction with their children.
"When I'm not at home, I live at Kyle’s," Mellencamp revealed, joking about staying in Richards’ glam room. "It’s so cozy, and thankfully, she has let me do that," she added. Mellencamp appreciates the living arrangement, stating it helps keep family dynamics supportive and clear for the children.
Teddi Mellencamp confirmed her separation from Edwin Arroyave on November 2. In her Instagram announcement, she stated, "After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children." She emphasized the importance of privacy and well-being for her kids.
Following the announcement, Us Weekly reported on an alleged affair between Mellencamp and her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. Sources disclosed that both Mellencamp and Arroyave had been unfaithful during their marriage. However, they initially attempted to resolve their marital issues for the sake of their children.
On her podcast, Mellencamp addressed comments regarding her separation and relationship statuses. "What I can say is there are multiple sides to every story. I’m not going to confirm or deny anything," she stated, ensuring that many factors contribute to the situation. This experience is part of her journey, balancing her personal and public life.
Mellencamp's focus remains on her children and maintaining open communication with her former husband while fostering a supportive environment during this transition.
