Teddi Mellencamp Shares Recovery Progress After Brain Surgery

Teddi Mellencamp is looking ahead after the successful removal of four brain tumors. The Bravo alum, 43, is now prepared to start radiation treatment. On Friday, February 28, she captured a selfie for Instagram, writing, "Staples out and ready for radiation."
In the photo, Mellencamp appears cheerful while lying down. Her buzz cut, a result of the surgery, shows a darker color compared to her usual blonde hair. Fellow housewife Kyle Richards commented, "Gorgeous as ever!!! 🤩💪🏼🩷" Miami’s Marysol Patton added, "❤️❤️ Prettiest Patient, I love the buzz cut !! ❤️❤️"
Cynthia Bailey from Real Housewives of Atlanta offered encouragement, while Tamra Judge expressed support, stating, "I’m so sorry you have to go through this. I love you so much ❤️ Keep being your strong self!"
Earlier in the month, the former Bravo star disclosed that she had multiple brain tumors following troubling symptoms. In a February 12 Instagram post, she shared, "For the last several weeks I've been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches." She described an unbearable pain leading to hospitalization, where CT scans and MRIs uncovered tumors believed to be growing for at least six months.
Mellencamp further noted that two tumors would be surgically addressed that day, and the smaller tumors would be managed with radiation later. She expressed her gratitude for the support from her children, family, friends, and medical team. Ultimately, doctors removed double the number of tumors initially anticipated.

Despite filing for divorce from Edwin Arroyave in November 2024 after 13 years of marriage, her husband remained by her side throughout her surgery. He remarked that "Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover" in a statement post-surgery.
Mellencamp continues to keep her fans updated on her recovery journey. Recently, she shared a video on Instagram Stories showing her surgical staples being removed on February 26. "I am so grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctors, and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process comfortable," she said.
In a social media update, she revealed that more tumors were removed than expected: four in total. "This fight is not over, but that round has been won," she stated. She expressed appreciation for the "laughter, support, and patience" from her loved ones and thanked everyone for their prayers, emphasizing their impact on her strength as she proceeds with treatment.
