Tom Holland Launches Non-Alcoholic Beer Brand Bero: A Personal Journey
Tom Holland recently announced his non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, set to launch nationally at Target on January 9. The 28-year-old actor, known for his role as Spider-Man, created this beverage with a personal touch.
Holland decided to start Bero after he stopped drinking in January 2022. He identified a need for a premium non-alcoholic option in the market. "When I ventured into the non-alcoholic world, I realized there was a void for a true, premium brand," he explained. Holland wanted a product that makes him feel included, remarking, "I’m so excited to bring Bero to Target, available to shop now nationwide."
Bero launches alongside other celebrity brands, including Kourtney Kardashian's Lemme Tone gummies and Dwayne Johnson’s Papatui collection. The alignment in launch time has generated interest across various health-focused celebrity products.
Holland discussed the motivation behind Bero in an interview with Forbes, emphasizing the significance of offering a drink he genuinely enjoys. He reflected on how difficult his first year of sobriety was and expressed, "Had I had Bero, I think it would have been easier." His experience as a newly sober individual gave him insight into creating a drink that could fill a gap in the market.
The brand, pronounced "beer-oh," took shape beginning in November 2023. Holland, along with beverage marketer John Herman, dedicated considerable time to perfecting three Bero flavors: Kingston Golden Pils, Edge Hill Hazy IPA, and Noon Wheat.
Even Zendaya, his fiancée, played a vital role in testing the beers, although in an unexpected way. "Zendaya hates beer, like, absolutely hates beer," Holland laughed, recounting her reactions. Her surprise at the taste during the initial testing provided him with feedback that amused him.
The couple’s relationship began when they were cast together in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016. Although they kept their romance under wraps for some years, they recently confirmed their engagement, following Zendaya sportingly a diamond ring at the Golden Globes.
As Holland continues his journey with Bero, fans are eager to explore this new chapter in both his personal and professional life.
