Travis Kelce High-Fives Excited Taylor Swift Fan in ‘Eras Tour’ Merch After Chiefs Game
For dedicated Swifties, seeing Travis Kelce offers a thrilling experience. Two fans experienced breathtaking joy when they had a special interaction with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end this past weekend.
The Chiefs secured a victory over the Cleveland Browns in Ohio on Sunday, December 15. Following the game, Kelce was in high spirits. Wearing a festive green beanie and a colorful Nike top, the 35-year-old athlete beamed as he high-fived two fans dressed in Eras Tour merchandise. The girls could hardly contain their excitement. One of them, Alyssa, shared on X that they did not anticipate Kelce would even notice them.
"We politely asked for a picture, but he declined. Still, he came over, which was a surprise. We are Browns fans but secretly cheering for Travis," Alyssa stated. Swift, who celebrated her 35th birthday on December 13, did not attend the game. However, she is thought to have celebrated with Kelce earlier that weekend.
Kelce had a busy schedule that weekend. In addition to the big game on Sunday, he attended the Chiefs' Christmas party on Friday. The event was hosted by owner Clark Hunt and his family. Hunt honored Kelce at the party, announcing his nomination for the 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year award, scheduled to be presented at the NFL Honors Ceremony before the Super Bowl in February 2025.
"He consistently uses his platform for good, so it is my honor to recognize Travis Kelce," Hunt said in his speech, shared by his daughter, Gracie. "Since coming to Kansas City 12 years ago, he has become one of the greatest to wear a Chiefs jersey and one of the best tight ends ever."
Hunt also praised Kelce’s impact off the field. "His 87 and Running Foundation has positively influenced many young lives, equipping them for success. His collaboration with Operation Breakthrough has provided thousands of meals to local families."
Kelce joined Hunt on stage to spotlight another item from his diverse headwear assortment: a bright red Santa hat.
Although Swift did not attend the game, she has been busy since wrapping up the Eras Tour on December 8. On the day prior to her birthday, December 12, she made a surprise visit to the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. During her visit, she engaged with pediatric patients, posed for selfies, filmed videos, and distributed Eras merch.
