Travis Kelce Praises Taylor Swift’s Ability to 'Break the Ice'

Travis Kelce admires Taylor Swift's skill in making others feel comfortable, PEOPLE reported. The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs expressed this sentiment during the January 29 episode of the "New Heights" podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.

The Kelce brothers invited friends Brandon Borders and Jake Chatzky, known as "Intern Brandon" and "Jets Jake," to talk about their experience in the Arrowhead Stadium VIP box. They watched the Chiefs secure their place in the Super Bowl after defeating the Buffalo Bills.

Brandon described the warm welcome they received from Swift. "We walked in, and she immediately recognized us. It was like, ‘Oh my God. Brandon, Jake, finally!’ We were floored."

He added that Swift's greeting was impactful and "shook us immediately." She certainly has a unique talent for breaking the ice. "She does," Travis echoed. "She’s a pro at it."

Brandon humorously noted their nerves, saying, "She probably sensed our middle school dance energy." He also commented on Swift's appreciation for the New Heights podcast, sensing that she listens to every episode.

"She gave us some creative compliments," Brandon excitedly stated. "Let me be very clear. You can’t tell me otherwise for the rest of my life. I’m going to be insufferable now!"

Travis helped the Chiefs reach their third consecutive Super Bowl on January 26. After the game, Swift shared a celebratory kiss on the field with him.

The Chiefs are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the upcoming Super Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.
