Travis Kelce Reveals His Thoughts on Fall Weddings
On the January 8 episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce shared differing views on fall weddings. Their discussion highlighted how wedding seasons clash with football obligations, PEOPLE reported.
Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, expressed his skepticism about fall weddings. He noted, "I actually don’t know people who've gotten married in the fall." He mentioned that most weddings he has attended occurred during the summer months. He jokingly suggested, "You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn't playing anybody good."
Travis highlighted a practical issue when organizing a wedding during football season. He suggested that choosing a date outside of fall could help avoid conflicts. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing anniversaries over sports, stating, "Maybe it's in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary."
Conversely, Jason Kelce shared a different viewpoint. Married since 2018, he urged potential grooms to place their brides above football. He explained that the wedding day should take precedence over game day since moments like these are vital.
Travis maintained his opinion on the fall season, insisting that football is a priority for him and his friends. "Don’t make my friends have to choose whether or not they have to sell their tickets that week," he remarked.
Despite Travis's stance, Jason insisted on the significance of marriage over football and encouraged a harmonious relationship. He stated, "There are a lot more important things than football, and weddings happen to be one of them." He advised potential grooms to prioritize peaceful relationships with their partners.
In a light-hearted moment, Travis playfully echoed a familiar adage, asserting, "Football is life!" thereby bringing humor to his steadfast belief.
