Wendell Pierce Hopes for Cameo in Suits L.A. Amid Resurgence
Wendell Pierce is eager to return to the world of "Suits." The actor, 60, recently shared his thoughts during an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw. He discussed the likelihood of appearing in the Suits spinoff, Suits L.A. This is prepared by SSP.
In the Friday, Oct. 25 episode, Pierce found the resurgence of the show "fascinating." The legal drama became available on Netflix and gained a new audience. "I think it's fascinating that our show blew up suddenly," he mentioned. He also recalled a text from Gabriel Macht, who plays Harvey Specter, stating, "WTF" to the group chat about the show's success.
Originally airing on USA from 2011 to 2019, Suits gained popularity on streaming platforms in 2023. Pierce noted the surprised reactions in the group chat due to the show's success and remains optimistic about potential opportunities from it. He stated, "There's a new Suits being produced right now. I better be asked for a cameo because we went on strike, not getting anything from that resurgence."
However, he expressed his excitement for a cameo, saying, "I would love to make a cameo." In the series, Pierce portrayed the father of Meghan Markle's character, Rachel Zane. He remains close with his former co-stars beyond their group chat.
At the 2024 Tony Awards in New York City, Pierce spoke to PEOPLE about Meghan. "When Meghan came to town, I had the chance to wish her and Prince Harry well." He added that the couple seemed very much in love, highlighting, "That's the most important thing."
Suits L.A. will star Stephen Amell as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who represents powerful clients in Los Angeles. While original actors haven’t been confirmed for cameos, Patrick J. Adams has also shown interest in returning.
Earlier, SSP reported that Chris Pratt and son Jack enjoyed World Series Game at Dodger Stadium.
