Wendy Williams Claims Diddy Will Face Life Imprisonment: "You Don't Know What I Know"
Wendy Williams did not shy away from expressing her views on Sean "Diddy" Combs, US Weekly reported. In an interview on January 16 with Charlamagne tha God on "The Breakfast Club," she made a bold statement regarding Diddy's future.
"Diddy will go to prison for life, people," she declared. "You don’t know the things that I know about Diddy back in the day." Although Williams, aged 60, did not provide specific details, her history with Diddy, 55, is well-known. Their feud began in 1998, following Williams's dismissal from her radio show on Hot 97, a move she attributed to Diddy, who had been a subject of much discussion on her show.
"It’s about time, people. It is about time. Diddy done," she asserted during her interview. Diddy faced significant legal troubles after being arrested in September 2024 on serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, alongside various sexual assault accusations. He has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty.
Regarding these charges, Diddy's attorney Marc Agnifilo criticized the decision to prosecute his client. "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office," he told Us Weekly upon Diddy's indictment. Agnifilo described Diddy as a music icon and philanthropist, claiming he has cooperated fully with the investigation.
Shortly after the arrest, Williams expressed her take on the allegations and publicly reacted to a disturbing video that surfaced, depicting Diddy physically assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie. "What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it,’" she remarked to the Daily Mail in October 2024. "To see this video... it was just horrific."
As the situation unfolds, Diddy remains detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial later this year.
