Millie Bobby Brown, known for her role in Stranger Things, has embraced a new lifestyle on a farm with her husband, Jake Bongiovi. This decision came after significant reflection and transformation in her life.

Life on the Farm

Months prior to concluding her work on Stranger Things, Millie began sharing glimpses of her rural existence. Although she and Jake, the son of Jon Bon Jovi, live a farm life in Georgia, Millie rejects the label of "trad wife." In a March 2025 Vanity Fair cover interview, she stated, "I’m not doing it for the aesthetic. I’m doing it because I love it."

She feels many may follow this lifestyle for appearances, emphasizing the hard work required. "If you’re not picking up horse s--t or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you."

Farming Experience

On their farm, Millie and Jake care for a variety of animals, including cows, sheep, goats, and donkeys. They also provide rescue dogs a home through Millie's animal rescue group, Joey’s Friends, launched in 2022. Millie remarked, "You think animals are peaceful. But there’s so much chaos."

Her farm is not without its challenges. "My animals are loud, and it’s messy," she continued. "But there is laughter, passion, and excitement. It is a very vibrant place." Millie thrives in this lively atmosphere, where chaos offers joy and fulfillment.

Staying Connected

Despite living in Georgia, Millie remains connected to her Hollywood life. She has met up with Stranger Things costar Noah Schnapp in New York alongside her husband Jake, illustrating her effort to maintain friendships.

Millie's background is diverse; born in Spain to British parents and raised in both the UK and the US. She began her acting journey at a young age, appearing in the Disney spinoff series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland when she was around nine. Millie was eleven when she landed her iconic role as Eleven on Stranger Things.

Reflecting on her journey, she stated, "I never wanted to be famous. That was never my thing. I just love acting."
