Will Smith Reveals Release Date for His First Full-Length Album in Two Decades

Will Smith is set to release his first full-length album in 20 years, "Based on a True Story," on March 28. The 14-track album, featuring collaborations with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, and Jac Ross, includes previously released singles such as "Beautiful Scars," "Work of Art," and "Tantrum." Smith's return to music arrives two decades after his last album, "Lost and Found," released in March 2005. This is prepared by SSP.
Smith announced the project on Instagram, expressing his excitement by stating, "Been working on this project for a minute and I’m itchin’ to get it out to y’all." Further emphasizing the personal and transformative nature of his new music, he revealed that his creative process was sparked by deep introspection and new discoveries following notable events like the Oscars, uncovering parts of his inner landscape that inspired the album's themes.
This album also aims to share a blend of emotional experiences, ranging from ecstasy and joy reminiscent of his childhood church days, to creating music that reflects his newfound introspective journey. Despite busy music preparations, Smith recently participated in social activities, including reuniting with "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" co-star Tatyana Ali and enjoying moments with family on National Napping Day.
Earlier, SSP reported that CNN denied altering video of Diddy assaulting Cassie.
