23 sets of twins graduate from Massachusetts middle school
Pollard Middle School in Needham, Massachusetts recently held its graduation ceremony for the eighth grade class, and it was a remarkable event. This year's graduating class included an astounding 23 pairs of twins, setting a new record for the school. In addition to that impressive number, there was also one twin whose sibling attends a different school, bringing the total count of twins to 46, or 47 when including the lone twin, out of the 454 graduating students. This is prepared by SSP.
The sheer volume of twins in this year's graduating class has been a delightful surprise for the school officials. Tamatha Bibbo, the principal of Pollard Middle School, expressed her excitement about the extraordinary number of twins, stating, "Typically we have between five and 10 sets of twins, but to have 23... it's been so fun."
Interestingly, some of the twins themselves were not aware of the high prevalence of multiples within their midst. Brayden Mahoney, one of the graduates who attended the ceremony alongside his twin sister Lauren, admitted, "Some of them, I just didn't even know were twins. Some don't even know we are twins."
The graduation ceremony served as a celebration not only of the academic achievements of the students but also as a unique gathering of an unusually large number of twins. It undoubtedly created a memorable and special atmosphere, making the event even more significant for everyone involved.
