Aaron Goodwin Files for Divorce Following Alleged Murder-For-Hire Incident
Aaron Goodwin, known for his role in 'Ghost Adventures', has filed for divorce from his wife Victoria following her alleged plot to arrange a murder.
On March 12, Aaron, age 48, submitted his divorce complaint against 32-year-old Victoria in Clark County, Nevada. Court records obtained by PEOPLE confirm the filing.
In his complaint, Aaron requests that neither party receive alimony and that community assets and debts be divided according to Nevada law. He seeks acknowledgment of his separate assets and liabilities as his own property. Additionally, he requests compensation for "reasonable costs, expenses, and attorney fees" related to the divorce proceedings.
Aaron reasons for the divorce include major differences in "views, tastes, likes and dislikes" between him and Victoria, leading to a breakdown of their marital harmony. He stated that "there is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife."
The couple married in August 2022, commemorating their wedding at the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland. However, Aaron cited May 4, 2020, as their official marriage date, the day they were initially set to marry, according to Us Weekly.
A representative for Aaron declined to comment when contacted by PEOPLE.
On March 6, Victoria was arrested on charges related to soliciting and conspiring to commit murder, based on inmate records from Clark County. Records indicated she was held on a $100,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for March 25.
A police report obtained by TMZ detailed that investigators discovered harmful messages from Victoria to an inmate in a Florida prison, which discussed plans to murder Aaron. Allegations claim she shared filming locations and times for Ghost Adventures.
Victoria purportedly reserved over $11,500 to pay the inmate by October 2024 and discussed sending an upfront payment of $2,500. One message reportedly questioned, "Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce."
Authorities were alerted to these communications after corrections officers confiscated a smuggled phone being used by the Florida inmate. While Victoria has faced allegations of planning her husband's murder, she has denied these accusations, claiming she was merely imagining life without him, according to TMZ.
