Schumer offered her perspective, saying, "There’s really no one funnier to sit next to than Marty Short." She hinted, "I think the tea is, I think Marty might be off the market. That’s what I’m seeing. I don’t know." It was clear, without mentioning names, that she referenced Streep, referring to her as "the greatest actor of our time."

So, what facts support the buzz? Short’s representative dismissed romance claims last January, stating, "They are just very good friends, nothing more." However, incidents have left fans questioning their true relationship status.

In August, Short and Streep were spotted holding hands at an after-party for their Hulu series' season four premiere. Shortly after, Short shared his admiration for Streep, saying, "It’s been a friendship that always grows, if you work with someone and love that person."
