'Angel' David Boreanaz Had a Hard Time on His First Day of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayer's first episode, directed by Charles Martin Smith and aired on March 10, 1997, proved challenging for actor David Boreanaz, who portrayed Angel. According to Smith, Boreanaz appeared "terrified" and inexperienced on set due to minimal prior acting credits. The pair later reunited at a Hollywood party, where Boreanaz extended gratitude to Smith for his support on that daunting first day. This is prepared by SSP.
Despite initial uncertainties, Boreanaz emerged as a leading figure in the series, eventually earning his spin-off show, Angel, which lasted five seasons. He has also hinted at revisiting the Buffy universe, expressing a keen interest in partaking in a potential reboot. Currently in the pipeline is a Hulu reboot of Buffy, with Sarah Michelle Gellar returning as the titular character under the direction of Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao.
Parallel to Boreanaz's journey, Michelle Trachtenberg, who portrayed Dawn Summers in over 60 episodes, recently passed away at 39 following complications from a liver transplant. Boreanaz honored her memory via social media. Trachtenberg, notable for roles in Harriet the Spy and Gossip Girl, was engaged in completing Spyral, a documentary she narrated, at the time of her passing.
Earlier, SSP reported that Millie Bobby Brown revealed her middle name is not really Bobby.
