Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain Share Joint Selfie with Facemasks While on Plane

Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain understand the importance of DIY spa days for mothers. On Tuesday, March 18, the two actresses shared an Instagram post showcasing their beauty routines while traveling. This is prepared by SSP.

"Mothers’ calling 👯," they captioned their selfie featuring face masks during what seemed to be a flight. Both women looked cozy, with Chastain wearing large, circular glasses and Hathaway in relaxed long-sleeved tops.

The duo, who are mothers of two, referenced their 2024 thriller, Mothers' Instinct, in their playful caption. One comment noted, "That movie left me TRAUMATISED!! That’s how good you were." Another said, "Awww the wives back together 🥰💍."

Prime Video, where the film is streaming, joined the fun with a reply: "This made everyone’s day." In this psychological thriller, set in the 1960s and directed by Benoît Delhomme, Hathaway and Chastain portray neighbors Céline and Alice.

Their relationship starts as a close friendship. However, the death of Céline's young son — who is the same age as Alice's — profoundly alters the dynamics. "Life's perfect harmony is suddenly shattered after a tragic accident. Guilt, suspicion, and paranoia unravel their relationship," an official synopsis states. As the story unfolds, more accidents occur, and Alice feels increasingly uncomfortable with her son Theo's relationship with Céline.

Chastain shared with IndieWire in April 2023, "Of course, it's a different kind of film, but it’s about two actresses coming together to explore the tension." She added, "Thank God Annie and I love each other, so it’s slightly different."

Regarding their parenting roles, Eve the Princess Diaries star, Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman are parents to sons Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman and Jack Shulman. Meanwhile, Chastain shares a daughter, Giulietta Chastain Passi, and a son, Augustus Chastain Passi, with her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.
