Ashley Tisdale Reduces Social Media Presence Due to "Judgment and Assumptions"

Ashley Tisdale, known for her role in High School Musical, has decided to be less active on social media. She aims to step back from the negativity and judgments prevalent online.

In an Instagram Stories post on February 7, Ashley mentioned feeling increasingly distant from social platforms. She expressed, "As the world is getting loud, I find myself wanting to share less and less." Made reflective by the negativity around, she recognizes it’s harder to contribute positively amidst such a climate.

Balancing her life with work and her two daughters, Jupiter, 3, and Emerson, 5 months, Ashley seeks to maintain her tranquility. She shared, "I’ve been loving putting my phone down and being in the moment." The 39-year-old highlighted the dual-sided nature of social media, describing it as a blessing for connectivity but overwhelming due to its noise filled with "judgment and assumptions."

When she chooses to share details about family life, the insights are engaging and humorous. On the Breaking Beauty podcast in January, she recounted her daughter Jupiter's mix-up about her past work. Jupiter mistakenly identified Zac Efron as her father after watching High School Musical. Ashley recalled, "She thought Zac Efron was her dad," adding, "Just ‘cause they have dark hair, it is not Daddy."

Jupiter's admiration also shines through during public appearances. Ashley recalled her daughter's enthusiasm when watching the livestream of her at the Wicked premiere last November. "She’s like, ‘I gotta see mommy on carpet,’" Ashley noted, capturing her daughter’s innocent excitement. Despite Ashley’s limited role in Wicked, Jupiter was happy to see her mom stepping onto the red carpet, making the moment especially endearing.
