Beyoncé Becomes the Most Certified Female Artist in RIAA History
Beyoncé has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the most certified female artist in RIAA history with 103 certifications. Recognized by the Recording Industry Association of America on December 17, the singer surpasses all female artists in certified titles. Her recent album, Cowboy Carter, is Platinum, with "Texas Hold 'Em" reaching 2x Platinum, and "16 Carriages" achieving Gold. Her previous album, Renaissance, is now 2x Platinum. Additionally, duets "Drunk in Love" and "Crazy in Love" with Jay-Z are both 8x Platinum. This is prepared by SSP.
Songs attain RIAA Gold with 500,000 units sold, Platinum at 1 million, and Multi-Platinum at each additional million, with Diamond reserved for 10 million. RIAA President Michele Ballantyne praised Beyoncé for her artistic achievements. Her 32 Grammy wins precede another notable accomplishment—most Grammy nominations, at 99. Current Grammy nominations include "16 Carriages," "II Most Wanted" with Miley Cyrus, "Texas Hold 'Em" for best country song, among others. Ahead of the February 2025 Grammys, Beyoncé will perform at the Christmas Day NFL Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens Halftime Show streamed on Netflix.
Progress also follows from her unprecedented success with diamond certifications. "Single Ladies" and "Halo," both reach 11 million copies sold, earning diamond status. "Single Ladies" topped charts as Beyoncé's first No. 1 by a Black woman in country and initiated a worldwide dance trend. "Halo," celebrated for its emotional richness, matches the diamond status. Both tracks feature in I Am... Sasha Fierce, now certified 7x Platinum in the U.S., making it her most certified album. Fans embrace this dynamic phase, following her recognition as Billboard's Greatest Pop Star of the 21st Century.
Earlier, SSP reported that Madonna announced work on new music.
