Blake Lively Claims Female Co-Stars Will Testify Against Justin Baldoni
Blake Lively's updated court filings state that two unnamed female co-stars from "It Ends With Us" are prepared to testify regarding Justin Baldoni's alleged behavior on set, PEOPLE reported. Lively, 37, submitted an amended complaint on February 18, 2025, in federal court in New York. Her legal team opted to keep the witnesses' identities confidential to prevent "further harm" amid a "dangerous climate" surrounding the case.
This move seeks to protect these individuals due to ongoing threats and intimidation. The unnamed witnesses granted Lively permission to share their communications and affirmed their readiness to testify and provide related documents during the discovery process.
Lively documented her experiences with Baldoni's alleged misconduct since May 2023, prior to the film's completion. The complaint details her initial report of "unwelcome and inappropriate behavior" by Baldoni and Jamey Heath, co-chief of Wayfarer Studios, to a Sony executive on May 26, 2023. Another female cast members also reported similar behavior to the same executive and producer.
A documented response to this concern from Baldoni occurred on June 1, 2023. He reportedly acknowledged awareness of the alleged issues and promised adjustments. By June 8, the same cast member approached Lively, sharing her discomfort.
The complaint states that another cast member subsequently renamed her discomfort to Lively, reinforcing the troubling atmosphere on set. All complaints were recorded in writing and happened almost a year before the film's editing process began.
This updated complaint adds to Lively's original lawsuit filed in December 2024, which outlined concerns against Baldoni and associates involved with "It Ends With Us." Her legal representation, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, highlighted that the revised filing includes "significant additional evidence" and previously undisclosed communications among Lively, Sony, Wayfarer Studios, and other relevant parties.
Furthermore, the complaint mentions a female co-star reaching out to Lively on August 14, 2024 — shortly after the film's release — to discuss the ongoing cyberbullying she was facing, which intensified post-premiere.
Both Lively and Baldoni have a civil trial scheduled for March 9, 2026. According to their attorneys, settlement discussions at this stage would be considered "inappropriate" and "premature." On January 31, Baldoni modified his own countersuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, which he made accessible via a personal website.
