Blake Lively Jokes About Returning to Sweatpants After SXSW Event Amid Legal Issues with Justin Baldoni
Blake Lively shared a light-hearted update on Instagram after her recent SXSW debut for her new film, "Another Simple Favor." Reflecting on her experiences, she expressed gratitude for the special moments and the people around her, PEOPLE reported.
On March 11, Lively posted a carousel of photos that captured highlights from her time in Austin, Texas. "Final Austin roundup for @asimplefavor š¤ I know how fortunate I am to work with each of you," she wrote, celebrating the premiere held at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival.
In her post, Lively added, "Thank you to my friends and loved ones for making this weekend so special. Ok. Back to sweatpants now. That was fun. āŗļø"
The actress, known for her role as Emily Nelson, appeared alongside co-star Anna Kendrick in the film. Her social media included shots of playful moments playing ping pong with Michele Morrone, who portrays Dante Versano. Lively also featured candid selfies, food photos, and an image with Kendrick from their world premiere on March 7.
Lively's "Another Simple Favor" marks her first premiere amid ongoing legal struggles against Justin Baldoni. The actress filed a lawsuit in December, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, a claim he denies. Baldoni subsequently countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist in January, alleging defamation and extortion.
Lively, who recently attended Saturday Night Live's 50th anniversary with Reynolds, 48, has shown resilience in her return to public appearances. A source noted that while Lively felt some anxiety about the SNL event, the warm reception from friends helped her ease back into the spotlight.
Despite her challenges, Lively is focused on the upcoming promotional tour for "Another Simple Favor." She recognizes that this year may come with ongoing struggles but aims to concentrate on the positives, stating that her family remains her priority. "Another Simple Favor" is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 1.
