Brianna Chickenfry Prioritizes Mental Health, Takes Break from ‘BFFs’ Podcast
On Wednesday, October 30, Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia announced a break from her Barstool Sports podcast, "BFFs," featuring Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards. This decision follows her recent split from country singer Zach Bryan.
In a TikTok message, LaPaglia, 25, stated, "Hey guys! We tried to record this week, but I’m struggling to figure out how to address this due to backlash."
She added, "I need to prioritize my mental health this week. Josh and Dave are supportive and want me to do what’s best for me. I hope you all understand."
Zach Bryan, 28, revealed their breakup after a year of dating on October 22. LaPaglia expressed feeling blindsided by the situation.
Bryan’s Instagram Story shared, "We’ve broken up and I respect and love Brianna with all my heart." He acknowledged her unconditional love and shared his struggles, stating, "I thought it would be better for both of us to go our separate ways."
In response, LaPaglia openly expressed her surprise. "I’m feeling really blindsided right now," she wrote in her Instagram Story. "I’ll step away from social media to heal privately. I’ll be back and ready to talk when I’m ready. I appreciate your kind words."
She later echoed these feelings in a YouTube video, saying, "It’s really heartbreaking when you give your all to someone and then feel discarded." She chose to keep details private for now.
Portnoy criticized Bryan during an appearance on "The Unnamed Show" podcast on October 24. He called the country singer an "insecure baby" and added that Bryan had reportedly signed up for the dating app Raya soon after the split.
"That’s dirty business," Portnoy remarked. "He was on a dating app before the body was cold!"
