Comedian Michelle Collins is having a lighthearted take on Meghan Markle’s Netflix series. In her appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on March 10, she said, "As someone who likes to work, I love it." She humorously noted the challenge of achieving life balance: "Here’s the problem, I just feel like you can’t have it all, and some people just want it all. Rebagging the pretzels, Andy? I don’t cook; that’s something I can do." Collins expressed that she "wanted a little bit more" from "Meghan Sussex."
When Cohen pressed her about whether she watched the show, Collins quipped, "Of course not, no no. Watch it? Oh God, no." Cohen casually mentioned, "She saw a clip on TikTok." Collins light-heartedly said she viewed "90 seconds" of the series and instantly enjoyed it.
Earlier this month, "With Love, Meghan" premiered on Netflix, receiving mixed reviews. A particular clip featuring Meghan and guest Mindy Kaling discussing the former actress’ last name has gone viral. Meghan said, "It’s so funny you keep saying Markle. You know it’s Sussex now." She expressed the meaning behind her family name, noting the significance it holds as she shares it with her children.
Meghan and Harry, married in 2018, have two children: Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3. Collins’ interaction with Cohen was shared on the WWHL Instagram, where some fans reacted negatively. One comment read, "Low hanging fruit. The show is days old, and the only punchlines are that she rebagged pretzels and doesn’t know her own name."
Despite the social media buzz surrounding the show, Meghan seems undeterred. In a recent interview, she reaffirmed her name change during a People magazine cover story, sharing, "It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children. I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H, and I all have together. It means a lot to me."
