Craig Conover Discusses Paige DeSorbo Breakup as a ‘Whirlwind’ Amid Cheating Rumors
Craig Conover recently addressed the details surrounding his breakup with Paige DeSorbo, US Weekly reported. During the February 6 episode of "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen," the 35-year-old Southern Charm star discussed Paige’s statement denying any physical or emotional infidelity.
When Andy Cohen inquired if Craig supported Paige’s denial, he chose not to confirm or deny her remarks. "I don’t want to be involved," Craig stated. "I got broken up with. I’m the ex-boyfriend, moving on with my life." He expressed resistance to engaging in public disputes regarding their relationship, stating that he never accused Paige of cheating.
Craig also commented on Paige suggesting he should defend her in public after their separation. "I didn’t tell her what to say on her podcast, 'Giggly Squad'," Craig explained. "She texted to inform me about her announcement, which inaccurately termed our breakup as mutual. I was caught off guard."
He added, "It’s been a whirlwind. I’m listening to ongoing comments about love not being enough. It is enough. If two people genuinely love each other, they can make it work." Craig emphasized that he was not angry with Paige but found the notion disheartening.
Following Paige's December 2024 confirmation of their breakup after three years, Craig shared his feelings on social media in January. "This has all been very unexpected," he admitted. He noted feeling shocked and processing the breakup, which took place just before the holidays. Craig also thanked fans for their supportive messages, hinting at discussing the situation further in the future.
Shortly after Craig’s remarks, rumors circulated following Paige’s appearance at a Philadelphia Eagles game. Online speculation suggested she was dating Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernandez, which she denied vehemently.
Despite Paige's claims of being single, Austen Kroll fueled speculation during his own WWHL appearance on January 30, stating rumors of Paige’s new relationship were "substantiated." This upset Paige, leading her to clarify the truth regarding her relationships on social media and her podcast. Paige reiterated, "I did not cheat on my ex-boyfriend."
"Let me set the record straight: I am single. I have no new boyfriend," Paige said on February 3. She limited her public statements while healing but decided to clarify issues due to smearing headlines, "Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend," she stated, confirming the timeline.
Paige once allowed Craig to act as though they were still together during promotions for Southern Charm, even amid speculation about their breakup. After observing Craig appearing single during a recent trip, she felt compelled to announce the truth to avoid deceit.
Paige conveyed, "Once he goes on a trip and presents himself as single, I can’t deceive the public any longer." Through these statements, both Craig and Paige have navigated the emotional turmoil following their separation, all while addressing rumors and maintaining their respective images.
