Dave Grohl and Wife Will Celebrate Christmas as Family After Baby Announcement
Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn Blum, are spending the holidays together as a family. The Foo Fighters’ frontman, 55, will celebrate Christmas with his wife and three daughters. This follows Grohl’s recent announcement of the birth of his fourth child with another woman outside his 21-year marriage to Blum.
A source informed PEOPLE that "they are all spending Christmas as a family." This holiday season has become especially significant after Grohl's unexpected news revealed a new baby girl welcomed outside of his marriage.
In a public statement, Grohl expressed his commitment to being a "loving and supportive parent" to all his children. He emphasized his intentions to mend his relationship with Blum and their daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. He wrote on Instagram in September, "I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust."
Despite recent difficulties, a source shared that Grohl no longer seeks divorce representation. Instead, he is hopeful about resolving issues with Blum. "Dave’s been prioritizing his family," the insider noted, explaining Grohl's recognition of the gravity of his mistakes.
Additionally, the couple navigates a complex situation. Blum has been spotted without her wedding ring; however, a source added that she is focusing on her daughters and not rushing into decisions.
"They are figuring it out step by step. She’s still unhappy, but things have calmed down," the source stated. "She doesn’t want to make any hasty decisions, since it’s all affecting their girls."
Grohl and Blum married in 2003 after meeting two years prior. Currently, Foo Fighters do not have any upcoming tour dates after canceling their participation in the Soundside Music Festival last September.
