Ed Kelce Predicts Stronger Bond Between Son Travis and Taylor Swift Post-Super Bowl: ‘A Positive Development’

Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, has shared insights about his son's relationship with Taylor Swift. He commented on their connection during an interview with Australia's Today show on February 6, US Weekly reported.

"I believe that after the Super Bowl, they will have a great period together," Ed revealed to hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo. He noted, "Without the disturbances of the NFL season or the Eras tour, they’ll have the time to truly connect. That can only be positive for them."

While discussing the speculation regarding a possible engagement, Ed took a lighthearted approach. When Stefanovic jokingly asked about a wedding date for planning, Ed responded with a laugh, "Did you really think I would reveal that?"

Ed also addressed questions about Taylor potentially performing at the Super Bowl, where his son’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will play against the Philadelphia Eagles. "I honestly have no idea. I haven’t spoken to Taylor this week. She may have plans we aren’t aware of. Her publicist can provide more information," he stated.

During the interview, Ed also praised Taylor, recalling their shared experiences at Travis' games. "She’s gaining a genuine interest in football. She's watching games with her dad often. Captivating," Ed shared.

He humorously recalled a moment when the Chiefs were in the red zone: "We were preparing for a field goal, and I thought, ‘I dislike field goals.’ Then Taylor surprised me by stating, ‘I’ll take the points.’"

Ed reflected on Taylor’s growing football knowledge, noting, "A year ago, she wouldn't have recognized a field goal from an extra point. Now, she’s involved in football discussions. She genuinely enjoys it and is quite intelligent."

In wrapping up his thoughts on Taylor, Ed expressed, "She’s truly delightful to be around."

Furthermore, Ed confirmed his support for Travis and his team during the championship game, recognizing that the Eagles, led by his eldest son Jason prior to his 2024 retirement, add complexity to the match. "I think Jason would want to see his brother succeed. However, as for me, I have only one team to support."
