She considered rehabilitation but Arki discouraged it, perhaps fearing change or distance in their relationship. Her reliance on alcohol continued, leading to self-destructive behavior, including smashing a bottle of vodka in Ibiza to drink from it. This incident marked her breaking point as she realized the gravity of her dependency.

Her relationship with Arki dissolved a couple of years post-rehab, leading to custody disputes, but they have since reconciled amicably. The treatment also helped reshape her approach toward her health, especially as she later faced breast cancer. Eschewing chemotherapy, Macpherson made well-being her priority, emphasizing her transition in her life beyond addiction, stating drinking was no longer a resolution.
