Throughout his career, Rachins accumulated over 75 acting credits. He made his mark as Douglas Brackman Jr. on the legal drama "L.A. Law" from 1986 to 1994, a role for which he was nominated for both Emmy and Golden Globe awards, although he did not win. Notably, "L.A. Law" collected four Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series between 1987 and 1991. This show was also personally significant for Rachins, as he met his wife Joanna Frank on set. After "L.A. Law," Rachins starred as the eccentric Larry Finkelstein in "Dharma & Greg," capturing audiences with his comedic talent in all 119 episodes from 1997 to 2002.
