Google to introduce next-gen mobile AI features with Pixel 9 series
Google is gearing up to unveil its new Pixel 9 series on August 13, and ahead of the launch, numerous details about the upcoming smartphones have surfaced online. One exciting aspect of the upcoming devices is their advanced mobile artificial intelligence (AI) features, particularly in the realm of imaging.
Among the anticipated features of the Pixel 9 series is something called 'Add Me'. A leaked promo video showcases the device's AI capabilities, including the ability to add individuals to group photos. This feature works by snapping a group photo, and then retaking the same photo with the missing person included. The AI-powered user interface will then intelligently overlap the picture of the individual onto the group photo, allowing users to make adjustments and create a seamless image where it appears as if everyone was originally present.
Additionally, the upcoming series is expected to introduce several other notable AI features. One such feature is Pixel Screenshots, designed to help users find information from screenshots more effectively. Another feature is Magic Editor, enabling users to replace backgrounds in images, and it is rumored to respond to text prompts as well. Furthermore, a revamped Gemini feature will offer more comprehensive information retrieval by utilizing images.
Regarding the specifications, the base variant of the Google Pixel 9 is anticipated to sport a 6.3-inch display with a glossy glass back. It is said to be equipped with the powerful Tensor G4 chip, accompanied by 12GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL models are expected to boast the Tensor G4 chip along with 16GB of RAM.
With the upcoming Pixel 9 series, Google aims to introduce cutting-edge mobile AI features that take smartphone photography and user experience to the next level. The combination of innovative AI capabilities and impressive hardware specifications makes the Pixel 9 series a highly anticipated release in the smartphone market.
