Hallmark Star John Reardon Confirms Tonsil Cancer Diagnosis

Hallmark star John Reardon announced his tonsil cancer diagnosis recently. On Tuesday, December 24, Reardon, 49, shared an Instagram photo of himself in a hospital bed. He captioned, "Last night was my first night out after my recovery from tonsil cancer. Has been a long road," US Weekly reported.

Reardon expressed gratitude towards those who supported him during this challenging time. He mentioned his partner, Meghan Ory, writing, "My amazing partner @officialmeghanory for taking on our whole world to help me get better." Ory is also a Hallmark star, having recently acted with Reardon in "Believe in Christmas." He also offered thanks to their children, whom he described as a source of inspiration.

The actor, known for his role in "Hudson & Rex," recognized several family members. He noted, "My Dad took me for a walk every day even when it was hard for me to get out of bed." He acknowledged the difficulties that both his father and he faced during his recovery journey. Reardon also appreciated his mother, who prepared nutritious food and drinks, and his siblings for assisting with daily responsibilities.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude towards in-laws and local community members. He wrote, "To all who sent food, support, or messages, I thank you." Doctors, nurses, and hospital staff received thanks for their critical role in his recovery as well.

After overcoming cancer, Reardon offered a message for those celebrating the holidays. He said, "Kindness is an underappreciated quality. We should celebrate it and distribute it as much as possible. Happy Holidays."

Ory shared Reardon's recovery photo in her Instagram Stories. She praised him, stating, "You are my hero," and affirmed her love. She concluded, "So proud of you @johnny_reardon_. And #cancerfree."

In the comments of his post, many fellow actors wished him well. Luisa d’Oliveira wrote, "Sending love and strength to you and your family ❤️." Rebecca Mader celebrated his recovery, saying, "Congratulations! Lots of love to you and yours!🎄🙏." Leah Gibson also offered support, remarking, "Sending huge hugs ❤️🙏💕."
